So what's it really like to work behind the scenes in hair and make up at London Fashion Week?London Fashion Week starts today, and although most eyes will be on the clothes, supermodels and celebs in the front row, it’s worth remembering the people and HOURS of effort backstage to style the models before they make an impact on the catwalk.
We spoke to two LFW veterans – responsible for teams of stylists and make up artists working on shows over the next few days – about the looks they’ve got planned, what they’re dreading, and why they love it.
It sounds like things will look pretty different this time for Vin+Omi (See Li/Demotix/PA)
“It’s manic, intense, there are so many things happening, it’s very important to be calm, which makes it easier to face any unpredictable circumstances, like a model coming five minutes before the show. But you’ll be surprised what ten people all on top of her can get done,” she says.
